The tour was a spectacular success, at least according to the owner of Murphy’s Irish Pub and Garden Restaurant, Miskolc. Whilst nightly demonstrating their extraordinary ability to stay afloat, neither team were quite able to translate that form to the pool.
Despite no podiums, against tough opposition, it’s fair to say OUWPC left an indelible mark on the tournament with attention now switching to the start of the BUCS campaign in autumn and the Varsities where the women’s team will be looking to add to their historic run of wins against Cambridge.
