On Saturday 11th March 2023, OURFC will host a Celebratory Dinner at the Oxford Town Hall to mark the Centenary of the OU Greyhounds, who were founded in the summer of 1923. To make the day a 'full celebation' the Greyhounds will play the LX Club at Iffley Road that afternoon in the 2023 Men's 2nd XV Varsity Match, KO 1500, when they will look to secure their 20th victory in this fixture since 1996 and retain the trophy they reclaimed in March. This match will be preceded by the Men's 3rd XV Varsity Match, where the OU Whippets will take on the Cambridge Centurions, KO 1230 at Iffley Road.
Various Captains of OUGRFC teams are assembling tables for this event including Peter Barry 1974, Paul Fisher 1975, Mike Doherty 1976, John Webster 1977, Al Morrison 1978, Ian Durrans 1980, and Bob Marsden 1981.
